Week 3 — When Results Don’t Show (But Something Is Changing

By Week 3, I expected to see something.

A visible change.
A number on the scale.
Some kind of confirmation that this was “working.”

That didn’t happen.


The Structure Is Holding

From a consistency standpoint, things are going well.

  • Fasting windows remain steady (mostly around 17 hours)
  • Eating windows stay within 6–7 hours
  • Workouts are consistent (indoor + outdoor activity)
  • No major disruptions to daily life

In many ways, this has become routine.

And that may be the most important shift so far.


The “Golden Window”… Without the Results

This week was described as the point where things start to click.

And in some ways—they are.

Not in visible results… but in habits.

I’m no longer watching the clock as closely.
My body seems to understand the rhythm.

But at the same time:

The scale hasn’t changed.


The First Real Test: Staying the Course Without Validation

This is where things get interesting.

It’s easy to stay committed when:

  • You see progress
  • You feel rewarded

It’s different when:

  • Nothing obvious is happening

So now the question becomes:

Do I trust the process… even when I can’t see it?


A Shift Toward Body Awareness

Even without weight change, something feels different.

  • I feel lighter
  • I have more energy
  • My sleep seems deeper
  • I don’t feel the need for late-night snacks

In fact, one of the biggest changes has been this:

Eating late no longer feels good.

Even a normal meal too close to bedtime leaves me feeling off.

That alone has been enough to reinforce one of the most impactful habits so far:

👉 The kitchen is closed after dinner.


Real Life Doesn’t Pause for Protocols

This week also introduced something practical:

Life.

Longer days. Warmer weather. More time outside.

That means:

  • Later dinners
  • More flexible schedules
  • Shared routines with Lanny

And that creates a new challenge:

How do you balance:

  • Structure
  • Flexibility
  • And real life

Because perfect consistency doesn’t always fit real life.

And real life isn’t going anywhere.


A New Layer: Experimenting With Peptides

This week, I decided to try a peptide protocol recommended by my coach.

The goal:

  • Support fat loss (especially midsection)
  • Improve recovery
  • Enhance energy

It’s too early to say what impact it will have.

But it introduces another variable into the experiment.

And that raises a new question:

When multiple things are happening… how do you know what’s actually working?


What I’m Starting to Question

After three weeks, a few things are becoming less clear:

  • Is fasting alone enough?
  • Does food quantity matter more than I thought?
  • Am I eating more than my body actually needs?

Because I’ve noticed something subtle:

Even when I eat a healthy meal… I sometimes feel too full.

That may be my body telling me something I haven’t been listening to.


A Shift in Focus: From Weight to Composition

At this point, I’m beginning to question whether weight is even the right metric.

Tomorrow, I’ll do a body composition scan using the Hume Body Pod.

Because what may actually be happening is:

  • Muscle gain
  • Fat redistribution
  • Internal changes that the scale doesn’t show

And if that’s the case…

Then the scale may not tell the full story.


What’s Working (Even Without Weight Loss)

Despite the lack of visible results:

  • Fasting feels natural
  • Hunger is manageable
  • Energy is improved
  • Sleep feels better
  • Late-night eating is gone

That’s not nothing.


Freedom To Thrive Reflection

Week 3 didn’t deliver results.

But it delivered awareness.

And that might be more important.

Because now this isn’t just about:

“Following a plan”

It’s about:

“Understanding what my body is telling me”


Looking Ahead

Week 4 introduces a new focus:

👉 Precision fueling (especially protein intake)

And that may be the missing piece.

So now the experiment continues—with a little more attention to detail.
